Pilots, Jaxx split opening series

The Pilots and Diamond Jaxx split the Opening series of the league after a big 9-1 victory for the Jaxx. The Diamond Jaxx offense strived off one another and Matty O'Neil lead the tribe with 4 hits off of 5 at bats. The first inning was tough for Pilots pitcher Chad Marescalchi who let up 6 hits and 8 runs.

In the second game the Pilots came out with confidence after trailing by two they knew they wanted a split series following Opening Day. Marescalchi's double to lead off the inning boosted all of the Pilots morale, as they hit two runs home. Marescalchi came back in to pitch in the third and fourth innings of the second game with fire on his shoulders, recording just one run allowed and 4 strikeouts.
