Brewers cheer to World Series win

Updated: Dec 6, 2019

Sunday -- The leagues inaugural season came to and end today and the Brewers were crowned 2019 World Series Champions.

The Brewers swept there win to lifting the trophy with a 4-0 record on Sunday with seven runs allowed and 21 runs scored including a 11-3 win to complete the sweep of the Pilots in round one.

Postseason Recap

Pilots @ Brewers; The Pilots were not able to build up from a rough 1-17 regular season and did not put up much of a fight in the best of three series against the top seeded Brewers as it only took two games to complete. In game one the Brewers bats started right away with a five run first inning, they won the game 5-1.

Game two was much worse for the Pilots as they allowed 11 runs against in just two innings. Nathan Vahey did record a three-run home-run which was the only home-run for the Pilots all season.

Diamond Jaxx @ Hounds; It was a matchup between the second place Hounds and third finished Diamond Jaxx who were without Chuck O'Neil. In game one Matty O'Neil stole the show again for the Jaxx as he recorded two home-runs and three RBI's. Andrew Moriarty struck out in the third to end the game but did play his best so far this season recording a couple hits in just as many at bats.

The Diamond Jaxx didn't hold up on the bats in game two as they recorded two four run innings to complete the win 8-2 and advance to the World Series. Justin Jenkinson hit a grandslam and the Jaxx took advantage of bad base-running by the Hounds that led to a triple play to end the second inning. Moriarty flew out in the third which O'Neil caught and completed the sweep as the underdogs.

Diamond Jaxx @ Brewers; We saw a much wanted World Series between the Diamond Jaxx and Brewers who have rostered the best bats and pitching in the league. Both games were fought hard by both teams until the final pitch, including a extra-innings win for the Brewers in game one. The Brewers Matt King hit the winning RBI in the bottom of the fourth that hit Montes home.

As game two went on the competitiveness went up and players began to get anxious as the World Series was on the line. After a good two run first inning for the Brewers there bats were quiet for the remainder of the game, but it was just enough as Ricky Montes completed the win for the Brewers following a line drive that he took to the legs but was able to scoop the ball up and get the final out.
