Jaxx hold off Pilots in back to back extra inning games

Updated: Dec 6, 2019

Sunday — The Pilots losing streak extends to double digits following two more losses to the Diamond Jaxx, both in extra innings.

Game one Marescalchi matched up against Jenkinson on the mound. The Pilots offense though wasn’t able to get past Jenkinson either as there was no more than singles thrown by Jenkinson.

In the bottom half of the extra inning Tom Shea hit a single down the first base line that stayed fair and drove home Matty O’Neil which was the winning run.

Game two saw O’Neil matching up against Vahey once again. Following a 11 inning previous game these two were both brewing a big win. But again both pitchers shutout their opponents through three innings. This one took 5 innings and again the Diamond Jaxx walked it off with a single from Matty O’Neil.

Thought the Pilots were swept the bats improved throughout the order. Marescalchi finished the day 8 for 10 with all singles.
