Sunday -- Nathan Vahey is the first player to sign an official future league contract. The league is beginning to utilize player contracts for the future seasons. These contracts will allow for a more professional feel to the league.

Vahey has inked a three year deal with the Navigators Wiffle Ball Club who will begin playing in the league in 2020. The team owner is yet to be named. Vahey currently has a .368 batting average with the Pilots, and is coming off a spectacular pitching outing that unfortunately ended in a 1-0 loss, but took 11 innings to complete. Vahey's deal will take him through the 2021 season as a Navigator and a team/player option for the third year. He selected a trade claus with a specific team list.

Starting now team captains are allowed to sign no more than three (3) players for the 2020 season. Any player not signed by September 1, 2019 will be placed on Free Agency and available to get offers from other league teams (as well as their previous team).

Each roster will hold no more than 7 players who will all have signed contracts with the respective teams.
